Elmange Watson, 27, was convicted in August of stalking, corruption of minors, indecent assault, and two counts of harassment following a waiver trial before Common Pleas Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr., authorities said.

Bateman sentenced Watson to 11 ½ to 23 months in the Bucks County Correctional Facility, followed by five years of probation, officials said.

The incident occurred on Jan. 22, 2023, when Bensalem Township police were called to the Neshaminy Mall for a report of a 17-year-old girl being stalked and groped on a bus.

The victim told police she boarded a SEPTA bus at Frankford Terminal in Philadelphia around 10:30 a.m. to get to her job at the mall when Watson followed her onto the bus and sat uncomfortably close—despite other available seats.

Throughout the 45-minute ride, Watson repeatedly groped the girl, investigators said.

When they arrived at the Neshaminy Mall, Watson continued harassing the teen inside until her boss appeared, prompting him to leave, officials said.

The case was investigated by Bensalem Police Detective Ryan Kolb and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Brittney Kern.
